Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks are made from individual sections including steel plate, valves, doors or manhole covers and roofs. All the individual sections are manufactured and finished offsite, greatly reducing the time and labor involved in the field.

The installation site needs to be cleaned and treated to create a level surface. A solid base of sand or crushed stone is applied, followed by either a concrete ring wall or a full concrete slab. The foundation of the Glass-Fused-to-Steel tank can be done by the customer or our tank installers. In order to reduce the installation time for the Glass-Fused-to-Steel tank, you would better finish the foundation before all the tank delivered.
Once the foundation is prepared, the individual panels are erected, one layer at a time, starting from the bottom of the structure. Please make sure the steel plate is clean and dry when gluing, the bolts and nuts must be replaced when the bolt stripping appears. After the bottom layer assembled, we use the stirrup to fixe the bottom layer to the foundation. And then we will assemble the second layer and use the jacking machine to connect to the bottom layer. Each connection of two layers will install the wind girder to make sure the whole tank are fastness enough. Fittings such as valves, doors or manhole covers are added as necessary, and finally, the tank's roof is installed.
Unlike conventional concrete or welded storage solutions, which require extensive fabrication and finishing processes onsite, Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks offer quick installation, lower shipping costs, and they can be assembled in nearly any type of weather, eliminating many weather-related delays.
